Tips and Tricks No prep is needed. There is no need to add anything to the actual makeup. Only use of a SMALL AMOUNT OF WATER with your brush and sponge, this makeup is designed to go farther with less water. To maximize the performance of the makeup, DO NOT MIX it with other brands. To achieve a brighter neon color, lay down a layer of white first. Stipple colors evenly achieve a smoother blend. Do not re-wet your sponge to do subtle shading. If hydrocolors dry out your lips, try using the crayons. Do not leave sponges and brushes in the cakes! Also thoroughly wash all sponges and brushes when done. To keep your brushes looking nice and clean, try cleaning them with "The Masters" Brush Cleaner and Presever
